The MESSAGE sex and gender policy framework was co-designed by representatives of the UK research sector to improve the integration of sex and gender dimensions in biomedical, health and care research design in the UK.

The policy framework provides a template for research funders to adopt new sex and gender policies, application questions and/or guidance for researchers.
