The researchers we work with really value the input from those with lived experience. These thoughts and opinions help direct research and bring forward ideas which may have otherwise been overlooked.

The Brain Injury HRC has the opportunity to work with many fantastic public contributors. We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank them for their work and contributions to research.

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) work is vital to research. It allows researchers to talk to people with lived experience to help shape:

  • what research gets done
  • how it’s carried out
  • and how the results are shared and applied in practice

Being involved in research means carrying out research ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public, rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them.

Thank you card
